The Taljawa Fishery Cooperative Society Ltd. has been registered on 13-9-2002 under the registration No. T-6 0f 2002-03 with a Hg. At Village- Kumligaon, P.O. Siliguri in Ampati Civil Sub-Division in the District of West Garo Hills, Meghalaya.

The Society started the Pisciculture activities in their community Fishery tank by undertaking semi developmental works in the existing tank measuring 105 Bisha land out of the members contribution and fund sanctioned by the Govt. under ICDP scheme in the year 2004. At present the strength of membership of the society is 25 Nos.
