The Tura Urban Cooperative Bank Ltd., was brought into existence on 31st March, 1975 and was duly registered under the Meghalaya  Cooperative Societies Act, 1971 vide Registration No. T-4 of 1974-75 with the main object of promoting thrift, economic growth, self reliance in accordance with Cooperative Principles and at the same time providing all kinds of banking facilities within easy reach to the people. Keeping these objectives in view, the Bank has been marching ahead unceasingly to serve the community.
